Cable installer and pipe fitter

If you wish to work as a cable installer or pipe fitter in Denmark on a permanent basis, The Danish Safety Technology Authority recognizes qualifications or similar training programmes completed in another EU or EEA country on equal footing with the Danish qualifications.

How to apply?

If you wish to work on a permanent basis as a cable installer or pipe fitter in Denmark, you have to fill out the application form for approval. On the application form you will find the required documentation you need to provide with the notification.

All the documents must be presented in Danish, English, German, Swedish or Norweigan. The academic certificates needs a sworn translation.

 

Temporary or occasional pursuit

Persons who intend to work on a temporarily or occasionally basis in Denmark as a cable installer or a pipe fitter, on basis of their professional qualifications acquired in another EU or EEA country or countries with which the EU has entered into an agreement on access to pursue a regulated profession, are entitled to commence the work without using this form.

Establishing a business

Persons who intend to work on a permanent basis in Denmark as a cable installer or a pipe fitter on basis of their professional qualifications acquired in another EU or EEA country or countries with which the EU has entered into an agreement on access to pursue a regulated profession, have to use this form to request for recognition of their professional qualifications.

No fee required.

When can I expect an answer?

The decision on whether or not to issue an approval will be made as soon as possible after all necessary documents have been received. Normally you can expect to get an answer from the Danish Safety Technology Authority within four weeks.

In case of rejection

If the Danish Safety Technology Authority decides to reject your application for approval, you will receive a reasoned notification. You cannot appeal this decision to other authorities.
