Foreign suppliers can fulfil their industrial co-operation obligations by completing development projects with Danish companies. The Danish Business Authority must pre-approve the development projects before they are initiated.
As an alternative to purchasing off-the-shelf defence products or services from a Danish company, the foreign supplier can fulfil its industrial co-operation obligation by completing development projects with Danish companies.
Using a special template for the purpose, the foreign supplier must describe the development project, which the Danish Business Authority (DBA) then assesses before issuing its pre-approval. The Danish company involved in the process must commit to the project description before it is sent to the Danish Business Authority.
For development projects, the Danish Business Authority can approve multipliers for the transfer of technology, software, etc., funding of development projects, advisory services, and/or making facilities available (see the section on - Project multipliers)
