Language requirements

The main language used by Business in Denmark is English.

What language should I use when I fill out a form?

As a main rule, you can fill out forms and registrations in either Danish or English.

What language should I use when submitting formal documentation?

Some registrations and applications require that you submit formal documentation. If your original documents are in Danish or English, you can as a general rule submit them to Business in Denmark without further translation.

If your documents are in any other language than Danish and English, you must translate them into one of these two languages. The translation can be done by you or by a third party. When you submit your documents, you must submit copies of the original documents along with the translated versions.

For some professions, however, it is not sufficient for you to translate the documents yourself. In these cases, you must commission a certified translation of your documents before submission to Business in Denmark.
