3. The purposes and legal basis for the processing of your personal data

We process your personal data in order to:

  • Handle your inquiry
  • Archiving inquiries related to specific cases with the purpose of processing the cases.

The processing of your personal data is based on:

  • Article 6 (1) (e) of the Data Protection Regulation
  • Article 9 (2) (g) of the Data Protection Regulation
  • Article 10 of the Data Protection Regulation
  • Section 11 of the Danish Data Protection Act

4. Categories of personal data

We process the following categories of personal data about you:

  • Regular personal data including name, email addresses, phone number, CVR number and case numbers.
  • Classified and sensitive information including CPR-number, information about your health and information about criminal offenses.  

5. Recipients of your personal information

The Danish Business Authority makes use of data processors which have access to the extent that is necessary for them to provide their services.

6. Sources for your personal data

We collect your personal information through our contact form.

The personal information might influence our ability to assist you.

7. Retention of your personal data

If your inquiry is important for a specific case, the inquiry will be saved and stored in our systems with the aim of processing your case. Hereafter, your inquiry will be stored until the Danish Business Authority no longer has a legitimate need for it in accordance with the archive legislation and public documentation obligations.

If your inquiry does not need to be stored and archived in accordance with the above, it will be deleted no later than 6 months after the last reply from the Danish Business Authority.

8. Right to withdraw consent

You have the right to withdraw your consent at any given time. To do so, you can contact us using the contact information provided in the first section.

The withdrawal of your consent does not affect the legality of the processing of your personal data based on your previously submitted consent up to the time that your consent is withdrawn. This is to clarify that the withdrawal of your consent will take effect from this point in time.

9. Your rights

You have a number of rights under the Data Protection Regulation in relation to our processing your personal data.

Right to information (right of access)

You have the right to access the information we process about you and certain supplementary information.

Right to rectification (correction)

You have the right to have incorrect information about yourself corrected.

Right to deletion

In very special cases, you have the right to have your personal data deleted before the deadlines set in our general deletion policy.

Right to restrict processing

In certain situations, you have the right to have the processing of your personal data restricted. If the processing of your personal data is restricted, we may only process your information - apart from for storage purposes - with your consent, or for the purpose that legal claims can be established, asserted, or defended, or to protect a person or important public interests. It should be noted in this context, that archival purposes are to be regarded as important public interests.

Right to object

In certain cases, you have the right to object to our otherwise lawful processing of your personal data.

10. Complaints to the Danish Data Protection Agency
